If you haven’t noticed, the Canals have been on a bit of a break from posting. Two weeks to be exact. School seems to have gotten the best of us. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t been thinking about you guys.
I saw The Darjeeling Limited last weekend, and I’ve been on a Kinks kick ever since. Here are two songs from the soundtrack and a few other of my favorite tracks of the past 14 days.
Joe Dassin - Les Champs-Elysee
Mott the Hoople - All The Young Dudes
Your 33 Black Angels - I Took A Deep Breath
-Danny

I love Magnet! The Gospel Song is fantastic as are Hold On and Lonely No More.
Darjeeling was fantastic as well, especially from a soundtrack standpoint.
strangers is one of the best songs i have ever heard - and i can’t find the damn thing on itunes!!!!! (unless you buy the whole darjeeling soundtrack…) - thank you
Thanks so much for posting some of the songs from Darjeeling. I am going to buy the soundtrack soon, but these will tide me over. You can check out my review of the film on my site. having never heard The Kinks before this I am craving more from them.
Lola versus Powerman and the Money-Go-Round, Part One … by the Kinks. This is one of the greatest albums from back in the day. Strangers has been haunting me this morning, I did not realize it was from Darjeeling, which I just saw this week.
How opportune that I stumbled upon this blog. I recently watched The Darjeeling Limited and was aching to get a hold of those two songs.
